The National Bobwhite Conservation Initiative is a multi-state project funded in part through compiled Wildlife Restoration (also known as Pittman-Robertson, or P-R) grants from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and several participating states, under the authority of the Federal Aid in Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program. This document is the annual report for July 1, 2016 – June 30, 2017 required by agreements with the following state agencies:

NBCI’s Bobwhite Almanac, State of the Bobwhite 2016 IS HERE! NBCI’s Bobwhite Almanac/State of the Bobwhite Report is an annual publication of the National Bobwhite Conservation Initiative (NBCI) to provide a range-wide snapshot of population, hunting and conservation status of the northern bobwhite, as well as looks at efforts underway to reverse the bobwhite decline.

Position Description for Director, Shortleaf Pine Initiative, June 2014

The SPI Director position is employed by, and responsible to, the University of Tennessee. However, direct supervision will be provided by the USDA Forest Service shortleaf pine project leader with ongoing consultation and advice from the Shortleaf Pine Initiative (SPI) Advisory Council.
